Damascus, June 29 (SANA) President Ahmad al-Sharaa received Iraqi Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein and his accompanying delegation at the People’s Palace in Damascus on Monday, in the presence of Foreign and Expatriates Minister Asaad Hassan al-Shaibani.
The meeting focused on bilateral relations and ways to expand cooperation across various sectors.
The two sides also discussed regional and international developments and stressed the importance of strengthening coordination and consultation between Syria and Iraq in addressing shared challenges.
Earlier in the day, al-Shaibani held separate talks with Hussein focused on expanding cooperation in ways that serve the shared interests of the Syrian and Iraqi peoples. The ministers also stressed the importance of continued coordination and consultation to support regional security and stability.
