Damascus, June 23 (SANA) Director of International Cooperation at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Qutaiba Qadish met with Syrian Arab Red Crescent (SARC) President Hazem Bakleh on Tuesday to discuss joint coordination to enhance the organization’s role in supporting authorities in the humanitarian field and identify humanitarian needs and priorities for response, the Red Crescent said.
During the meeting, Qadish reviewed the government’s action plan and humanitarian approaches focusing on recovery, expressing appreciation for the efforts of Syrian Arab Red Crescent volunteers across the country, according to the organization’s Facebook page.
Bakleh affirmed the organization’s commitment to supporting recovery efforts in affected communities and assisting those affected in rebuilding their lives and strengthening their stability.
The Syrian Arab Red Crescent is a humanitarian organization established in 1942, with financial and administrative independence. It is headquartered in Damascus and has 14 branches across all provinces, along with 75 sub-branches affiliated with the branches.
