Actress Sydney Sweeney does not appear in the final version of the film The Devil Wears Prada 2despite having a small role and filming a scene that was supposed to appear in the film.
According to Entertainment Weekly Sweeney played herself as a customer in a three-minute scene that was supposed to show the character Emily Charlton, played by Emily Blunt, working at Dior in the United States.
However, the scene was later dropped for artistic reasons as it was not considered to fit the story well enough.

A star-studded sequel
In the sequel, Andy Sachs, Miranda Priestly and Nigel Kipling reunite to save the magazine Runway out of trouble. Among other things, they look to Emily, who has now established herself in the fashion world.
Although Sweeney will not be seen in the final version of the film, there will be no shortage of stars, as it has already been reported that Lady Gaga will appear there. The film also returns Anne Hathaway, Meryl Streep, Stanley Tucci and the aforementioned Emily Blunt, as well as new faces joining the cast, including Lucy Liu, Justin Theroux and Kenneth Branagh.
