Dear readers
Different regions, different living environments, different perspectives: Switzerland is a country of diversity. This sometimes makes them complicated – but above all exciting and unique.
“Switzerland today”our new news portal, wants to reflect this. Hardly any editorial team is as diverse as that of CH Media: from eastern Switzerland across the Swiss Plateau to northwestern and central Switzerland, almost 350 journalists report every day on what moves people. Of these, around 50 work for the supra-regional departments of foreign, domestic, economics, sports, culture and life and knowledge. We are now concentrating this journalistic power on “Switzerland Today”.
Our claim: We want to offer facts and guidance without patronizing. We want to enable debates without dividing the world into good and evil. And we want to provide you with more than just news. Our portal also includes culture, entertainment, inspiration, practical life support and the many stories that enrich people’s everyday lives.
The big questions of our time are often negotiated in Bern, Brussels or Washington, and at the same time what directly shapes our lives happens in the cantons and municipalities. That’s why at “Switzerland Today” we combine the national and international perspective with the strength of our locally anchored editorial teams.
A general subscription for well-informed people
With the launch of “Switzerland today”, CH Media is introducing a new digital subscription model. If you have a subscription to this portal, you will also receive access to the content of our 17 regional news portals – directly and at no extra charge. This way you can keep a national and international overview and delve deeper into the regions that particularly interest you.
We are convinced that independent journalism is more important than ever, especially in a direct democracy. In a time when artificial intelligence produces countless content and misinformation spreads at a rapid pace, the value of journalism that is made and done by people is increasing.
“Switzerland today” is not a finished product. We will continue to develop, improve and sharpen it – and we look forward to your feedback. Welcome to “Switzerland today”!
