The National Police reported this Saturday, June 6, that the Ministry of Public Security is developing the so-called Operation Bolt in the La Joyita Penitentiary Center, through a broad inter-institutional deployment aimed at reinforcing control, security and search actions within the facility.
According to the authorities, 400 units from different security forces participate in the operation, including members of the National Police, the National Border Service (Senafront) and personnel from the Penitentiary System, who maintain coordinated work to strengthen order and security in the penitentiary center.
Likewise, the authorities indicated that units from Senafront and the National Aeronaval Service (Senan) joined the operational actions with the objective of locating and removing prohibited objects that represent risks to security, coexistence and order within the prison.
The Ministry of Public Security highlighted that these interventions contribute to strengthening institutional control and governance of the penitentiary center, in addition to guaranteeing safer conditions for both the population deprived of liberty and the personnel who work there.
The authorities reiterated that they maintain a firm, coordinated and permanent presence throughout the country as part of the strategies aimed at strengthening public order and national security.
