Internationally-renowned digital content creator, IShowSpeed (Darren Watkins Jr.), will visit St. Vincent and the Grenadines on Tuesday.
“This landmark visit represents a significant strategic opportunity for St. Vincent and the Grenadines to position itself at the forefront of the global digital tourism and livestream economy,” the Ministry of Tourism, Civil Aviation and Sustainable Development said in a press release.
With a worldwide audience numbering in the tens of millions, IShowSpeed’s real-time broadcast will showcase the country’s vibrant culture, natural beauty, and dynamic people to an unprecedented global viewership.
“The visit forms part of the government’s broader effort to modernise its tourism marketing approach, moving beyond traditional advertising to immersive, real-time storytelling that captures authentic Vincentian experiences,” the release said.
“Through this initiative, viewers across the globe will engage directly with the energy, creativity, and uniqueness that define St. Vincent and the Grenadines.”
The release said that given recommendations from the public, the national showcase will highlight key elements of Vincentian identity, including cultural expression, youth talent, entrepreneurship, and the distinctive landscapes that make the destination one of the Caribbean’s most compelling and unspoiled locations.
“Hosting IShowSpeed presents a significant opportunity for Vincentians, especially young creatives and professionals, to engage in a global-scale production,” Minister of Tourism, Civil Aviation and Sustainable Development, Kishore Shallow said.
He said exetensive extensive preparations have been undertaken in collaboration with the Ministry of Youth, Sports, Culture and Creative Industries, to support IshowSpeed’s visit.
“… we are eager to showcase Saint Vincent and the Grenadines to his millions of viewers worldwide,” Shallow said.
“This initiative is intended to highlight the country’s capacity for innovation, excellence, and meaningful collaboration on the international stage.”
Meanwhile, Minister of Youth, Sports, Culture and Creative Industries, Kaschaka Cupid noted that the Carnival Development Corporation has been working in close coordination with public and private sector partners to ensure that the visit is executed seamlessly and reflects authentic expressions and experiences, and invites citizens to extend a warm Vincentian welcome and to support this initiative as it unfolds.
“The Ministry of Tourism, Civil Aviation and Sustainable Development expresses its confidence that this historic visit will yield long-term benefits for the tourism sector and the wider economy, while reinforcing Saint Vincent and the Grenadines’ place on the global stage,” the press release said.
