
In a special weather bulletin for Friday, the National Bureau of Meteorology predicted very heavy rains across several states.
The bulletin, which carried a level two alert, stated that the provinces affected by the rains are: Medea, Bouira, Tizi Ouzou, Bejaia, Jijel, Skikda, Annaba and El Tarf.
Rainfall amount: ranging between 20 mm and 30 mm.
Bulletin validity: starting at six in the morning and continuing until three in the afternoon.
The bulletin also warned of heavy rain falling across the states of: Djelfa, M’Sila, Bordj Bou Arreridj, Setif, Mila, Constantine, Guelma, Souk Ahras, Tebessa, Khenchela, Oum El Bouaghi, Batna, Ould Jalal, Biskra, Touggourt, El Oued and Mughir.
Rainfall amount: ranges between 20 mm and 30 mm and reaches or exceeds 40 mm locally
Bulletin validity: starting at six in the morning and continuing until eleven at night.
The bulletin also carried a level 1 alert for thunderstorms across the states of: Algiers, Boumerdes, Blida, Tipaza, Ain Defla, Chlef, Relizane, Camp, Tiaret, Laghouat, El Bayadh, Illizi and In Saleh.
The newsletter is valid from six in the morning until midday.
