Intensive work is being done to re-establish Kommuneqarfik Sermersooq’s IT systems after the extensive breakdown at the end of May. A larger briefing on the situation is expected on Monday, the municipality says.

Some of the IT systems in Kommuneqarfik Sermersooq are now back in operation, and the municipality’s emails also work. However, the telephone system is still out of order, the municipality informs.

Several of the municipality’s digital systems have now become available again. Rosannguaq Rossen from Kommuneqarfik Sermersooq’s communications department informs Sermitsiaq.

The municipality’s e-mails are working again, but the telephone system is still out of order.

– The IT employees in Kommuneqarfik Sermersooq will continue to work over the weekend to get several of the digital systems re-established, says Rosannguaq Rossen.

Citizens can still contact the municipality via their mobile phones telephone numbers to the citizen service centres, she says.
