Mads Madsen, actor and director, becomes chairman of the filmmakers’ association Film.gl.
Mads Madsen was elected as chairman of Film.gl at the general meeting on 30 May and replaces Klaus Georg Hansen, who has been chairman for seven years.
– My focus will be to strengthen the framework that makes it possible for Greenlandic filmmakers to tell their stories – both in Greenland and internationally, says Mads Madsen in a press release.
Will further develop the film industry
Film.gl and the Greenland Film Institute will work side by side to create the best possible conditions for the industry, Film.gl states in a press release.
Inunnguaq Petrussen, head of the Greenland Film Institute, writes that he wishes Mads Madsen and Film.gl congratulations on a successful general meeting and looks forward to the collaboration.
