Toni Silić was the bright spot of the draw between Rijeka and Hajduk in Rujevica.
– It was a difficult match. We changed the style of the game a little, but I congratulate the team for fighting for the whole 90 minutes. We showed that we are a team and we lasted until the end – said Silić, and then he was asked if he had commented on his defense.
– Rijeka na Rujevica must create several chances. We defended well and did not allow them much. We defended what passed. It was good.
He also referred to the preparation of the match after the Whites previously drew with Slaven Belup and lost to Osijek.
– You don’t need motivation for the Adriatic derby. We entered hard and sacrificed, we fought. It wasn’t easy, but we pushed through 90 minutes.
The next test for Hajduk will be Varaždin in Poljud.
– We haven’t beaten them yet this season. We want to win – concluded Silić.
