Representatives of the private airline Shohin Airlines and Airbus discussed the acquisition of 4 aircraft of the Airbus A320neo family at a meeting in Dushanbe.
According to the Shohin Airlines media relations department, during the negotiations the parties considered issues of further expanding cooperation between the airline and one of the world’s leading aircraft manufacturers.
“The visit was a continuation of the dialogue begun earlier this year in Toulouse, where a Memorandum of Understanding was signed following a meeting on the acquisition of two A320neo and two A321neo aircraft. The document laid the foundation for strengthening the partnership and identifying key areas of cooperation,” the airline noted.
Currently, the negotiation process with Airbus on the acquisition of aircraft is at the final stage. The implementation of the agreements reached “will be an important step in the development of the airline’s fleet and strengthening its position in the air transportation market,” Shohin Airlines added.
Shohin Airlines (“Shokhin Airlines”) is a private airline registered in Tajikistan, focused on the development of national civil aviation, as well as the development of regional and international air transportation.
Currently, the airline operates helicopter equipment to perform specialized flights. The company is also negotiating with the world’s leading aircraft manufacturers and is considering prospects for the development of commercial passenger and cargo transportation, as well as business aviation in Tajikistan.
