Although Mark Marques won pole position and sprint ahead of today’s race for the Spanish Grand Prix at the autodrome in Heres, the nine-time world champion and seven-time winner of the title in the “royal class” ended his participation already at the 11th corner in the second lap.
The main trump card of the Ducati factory team first lost its leading position. He was overtaken by his younger brother Aleks, the driver of Gresini, who then moved away from the trophy-winning and better-known Mark.
While turning, the 33-year-old native of Servera hit the curb and lost his balance. There was no contact, neither with Aleks, nor with the drivers who were behind him at that moment, he reports Sports Club.

Fortunately, the most important thing is that everyone saw that Marques immediately got up and walked away after falling from the motorcycle, the front part of which separated from the rest of the machine.
Marques also fell in the sprint race that was held the day before, but then the motorcycle was not damaged nearly as much as in this situation. Then he made a big turn and won the sprint.
