A femicide took place in Sarajevo’s Dobrinja neighborhood today, in which 41-year-old Elma Godinjak, a journalist and mother of a minor child, lost her life.
Her husband Tarik Prusac (49), with whom she was in the process of divorcing, is suspected of murder.
Elma Godinjak was once a journalist for the daily newspaper Oslobođenje.
The murder happened at around 4:15 pm, in the street of Omladinskih radnik brigada, after which the suspect left the scene and took their child with him.
An extensive police search was launched that covered several locations, including the Dariva area, where a car containing a Prussian was later spotted. He was arrested shortly thereafter in the area of Stari Grad, while the child, according to information from the KS MUP, was found unharmed and taken care of by the competent services.
An investigation was carried out at the scene, which is still ongoing, and it is expected that additional circumstances of the case will be known after its completion.
This is another in a series of cases of femicide in Bosnia and Herzegovina that shock the Bosnian public year after year, month after month.
