Conad Albania reacts
After the publication of the announcement by AKU, Conad Albania also reacted, which gave its version of the product and lot included in the alert.
In an official clarification published on September 9, the company says that it had received the notification for lot L.264173 as of August 31, 2026.
According to Conad Albania, immediately after receiving the information, the affected product, a carton of 16 pieces, was identified and isolated before being placed on the shelves for sale.
“This product has not been sold at any Conad Albania sales point and has not reached consumers,” the company explains.
Conad Albania says that on September 8, after the publication of the announcement by AKU, it carried out the relevant verifications and confirmed that the product had not been released to the market, had not been distributed and had not been placed for sale in its outlets.
However, the company claims that this information obtained from the verification was not reflected in the public notice of the AKU.
The company also emphasizes its commitment to transparency, food safety and accurate consumer information, while declaring that it continues to cooperate with the competent authorities and partners of the Conad network.
Finally, Conad Albania asks the media that published or distributed the news to correct the information it considers incorrect or incomplete and to reflect the above facts.
