Before being interviewed by PSRK, Përparim Rama was in a meeting with the Government for the Mediterranean Games

The mayor of Pristina, Përparim Rama, was interviewed today by the Special Prosecutor’s Office of the Republic of Kosovo (PSRK), as part of the investigation into the “Architect of the Capital” case.
On the same day, Rama participated in the meeting of the Organizing Committee of the Mediterranean Games “Prishtina 2030”, where Prime Minister Albin Kurti was also present.
The progress of the preparations and the next steps for the organization of the Mediterranean Games were discussed there. However, in the announcement of the Prime Minister’s Office (ZKM) for this meeting, the name of Përparim Rama is not mentioned, although he was part of the meeting.
Later in the day, Rama appeared at the Special Prosecutor’s Office, where he was interviewed as a defendant.
Rama and Kurti clashed over the organization of the Mediterranean Games “Prishtina 2030”. Rama has accused the Government and Kurti of interfering in the organization of the Games, claiming that Prishtina was overlooked in decision-making and that he was denied the space to be part of the organizational processes.
Clashes have also deepened over the issue of the leadership of the Organizing Committee, as Kurti has assumed the role of its chairman, which Rama has opposed. The Mayor of Pristina has claimed that the Government is treating the organization as a political project and is ignoring the host municipality. He also criticized attempts to change the name from “Prishtina 2030” to “Kosova 2030”, ironically saying that he is ready for the Games to bear the name “Albin Kurti 2030”, just so that Kosovo does not lose the organization.
