A 74-year-old patient, identified as Claudio Madrid Ayzanoa, admitted to Alberto Sabogal Hospital of EsSaludin Callao, cannot perform three CT scans necessary to receive treatment because the CT scanner is inoperative. This was detailed by his daughter, Marlene Madrid on the RPP rotaphone.
According to Marlene, her father was admitted to the Sabogal hospital on April 3, and has been waiting for five days for the necessary CT scans to be performed for a good diagnosis.
Claudio Madrid is a patient who has lesions in his liver, pancreas and gallbladder, and needs to receive treatment for his illnesses.

According to the statements collected, Marlene has asked Sabogal officials to transfer her father to a clinic that can perform the scans he requires.
However, the procedures would have been delayed due to the long Easter holiday. “A CT scan has been ordered, but they take a long time in this process and the days continue to pass. First they tell us that the appointment would be this week, and that we should be attentive, then they tell us that it could take weeks,” he said.

“Our concern is that each day that passes my father does not receive treatment for the ailments he has and ends in something worse. Each day that passes without a diagnosis my father turns yellower and the liver and pancreas damage continues to advance,” added the complainant.
