Regarding SPAK’s investigation into the investment in Zvërnec, the Prime Minister said that he encourages the investigation into the origin of the property, after being asked by journalists about the seizure of the bank account of “Albania Land Development”.
Rama said that the financial resources of the investors proved to be legal. He emphasized that the investment continues and will not stop for as long as it takes.
“This of SPAK has two parts; the positive part that belongs to SPAK and the ugly part that belongs to SPAK’s vetoed spokesmen. The positive part is the part of the investigation into the origin of a property. As long as this is a raised problem, rightly or wrongly and much talked about, even more so as long as this is related to an investigation that has been started, which belongs to the subject, it is very positive for SPAK to investigate the origin of this property, it is welcome and encourage this inquiry.
The ugly part is that of the authorized spokespeople who share half-truths that are the biggest lies since the investors who today are the owners of the property according to Albanian legislation, are investors with an indisputable reputation, the financial sources to convey the payment have been thoroughly investigated by the Money Laundering Agency and have turned out to be totally legal and come from financial institutions with a global reputation. This matter, as it is of two aspects, must be divided into two parts.
The investment continues with the new and legal owners and in the event that another property origination emerges, those who are entitled to that property can receive that money and all are happy except the defrauded party.
I would call on the veto-free spokespersons to think twice about writing some truths because they hurt Albania. It is known who the investors are because they are reputable people.
There is no chance that the investment will stop while I am here. I am absolutely open to discussing with anyone who has allegations, but we need to clarify what the allegations are about. If they are for the property, it has its own way and can lead to ideal solutions”, said Rama.
