The Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Armenia and the “Nazik Avdalyan” Sports Development Fund are starting a new cooperation aimed at sports re-equipment of penitentiary institutions.
“Armenpress”According to the report of the Foundation, it is mentioned that within the framework of the program, sports equipment with a total value of 10 million drams was provided to 9 penitentiary institutions of the republic. The start of the process was given from the “Sevan” prison, which has already been equipped with the necessary equipment.
The long-term development of the cooperation was fixed by the memorandum signed between the head of the penal service of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Armenia, colonel of justice Tsovinar Tadevosyan and the founder-director of the foundation Nazik Avdalyan.
“The joint program is not only the provision of sports equipment, it includes:
• Implementation of educational and psychological works,
• Introduction of outdoor sports,
• Specialist training programs.
We believe that sport is not only physical conditioning, but also an important tool for discipline and re-evaluation,” said the message of the “Nazik Avdalyan” sports development fund.
