The Maison de Vie in Carpentras marked its 16th anniversary with the inauguration of a new creative arts space designed to support people living with HIV on their journey towards personal recovery and renewed confidence…
Created with the support of Fight Aids Monaco, the Monegasque Government and the Monegasque Red Cross, the new facility provides residents with a dedicated environment where art becomes a tool for expression, healing and personal development. The space was officially unveiled during anniversary celebrations attended by His Serene Highness Prince Albert II’s sister, Princess Stéphanie of Monaco, who founded the charity and has supported the project since its inception.
Residents showcased artwork created through workshops that encourage participants to explore emotions, creativity and self-expression. Many described the experience as transformative, helping them build confidence and discover talents they never knew they possessed.
The creative space was made possible through joint funding from institutional and charitable partners, including significant support from the Monegasque Government and ongoing contributions from the Red Cross. Organisers said the initiative reflects a broader philosophy of care that goes beyond medical support, focusing on wellbeing, dignity and social reintegration.
Speaking at the event, Princess Stéphanie highlighted the remarkable achievements of residents who had never previously engaged with artistic activities, describing the exhibition as proof of the power of creativity to inspire and rebuild lives.
Sixteen years after opening its doors, Maison de Vie continues to evolve, placing human connection, expression and recovery at the heart of its mission.
