Prime Minister of the Lao PDR Sonexay Siphandone will lead a high-level delegation on an official visit to the Russian Federation from June 14–17, 2026, at the invitation of Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Following the official visit, Prime Minister Sonexay will lead the Lao delegation to participate in the 35th Anniversary ASEAN–Russia Commemorative Summit, to be held in Kazan, Russian Federation, from June 17–19, 2026.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that both the official visit and the Prime Minister’s participation in the commemorative summit are being undertaken at the invitation of the Russian side.
