PRIME MINISTER Dr. Godwin Friday, has acknowledged that government can do better when communicating with the public, but also said he is more focused on action than on public relations (PR).
“…we have to take the people along with us…we are fulfilling our mandate, and we’re delivering, and the people will feel it, but we also, I agree, we could always do better at communicating to people what exactly we are, where we are, and how we are getting through it, and where we intend to go,” Dr. Friday told listeners to Hot 97.1 FM’s AM Mayhem morning show on Friday April 10, 2026.
He also claimed that the Unity Labour Party (ULP) administration believed in propaganda and making big pronouncements.
“There’s been a very good job at propaganda. That’s one thing the previous administration was good at, making, as you say, big pronouncements.They can do all kinds of things, you know, they are on top of the mountain. The only thing is, around the mountains was ashes. You know, that’s the mountain they have climbed.”
