The City of Casablanca provides citizens with a weekly bulletin of wholesale prices of meats, fruits and vegetables most demanded on the markets. Prices are provided for information purposes only and may vary depending on the quality of the product and its origin. Please note that these prices are only valid for the wholesale market and not at retailers.
In the segment of red meatsprices remain on an upward trend. THE beef see their ceiling increase to 110 DH/kg against 105 DH/kg the previous week, while their minimum falls to 84 DH/kg against 90 DH/kg previously. THE sheep meat continue to rise, with prices now between 140 and 145 DH/kg compared to 135-140 DH/kg in the previous note.
On the side of vegetablesTHE tomatoes continue to decline, with a range reduced to 1.5-5 DH/kg compared to 2-5.5 DH/kg a week earlier. THE squash remain stable between 2.5 and 7 DH/kg. THE potatoes also maintain their level, with prices between 3 and 4.5 DH/kg. THE fresh onions remain unchanged between 1.3 and 2.3 DH/kg. THE carrots are starting to rise slightly again, their ceiling reaching 3.5 DH/kg compared to 2.8 DH/kg previously.
On the side of fruitsseveral seasonal products remain on a downward trend. THE melons continue their decline, with prices now between 1.2 and 3 DH/kg compared to 1.2-3.2 DH/kg the previous week. THE watermelons also recorded a decrease, their ceiling falling to 2.8 DH/kg against 3 DH/kg previously. THE peaches see their maximum drop to 9 DH/kg compared to 10 DH/kg in the previous note.
Conversely, the apricots recorded a slight increase, with prices now between 6 and 12 DH/kg compared to 4-10 DH/kg a week earlier. THE lawyers remain stable between 20 and 35 DH/kg, just like the apples local and imported. THE bananas local prices remain unchanged between 8 and 11.5 DH/kg, while the oranges stabilize at 2.5-3.8 DH/kg.
