On Thursday, President Abdelmadjid Tebboune received the Syrian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Asaad Hassan Al-Shaibani, who is on an official visit to Algeria.
He participated in this meeting, according to what he said Statement by the presidencyMinister of State in charge of the General Inspectorate for State and Local Communities Services, and Minister of State, Minister of Foreign Affairs, the National Community Abroad, and African Affairs.
The meeting was also held in the presence of the Advisor to the President of the Republic in charge of diplomatic affairs, and the Director General of Documents and External Security.
In his statement after the reception, Al-Shaibani said that in his talks with the Algerian president, he touched on “the importance of the historical and deep Syrian-Algerian relations.”
The talks between the two sides also addressed “the need to develop these relations, to include basic cooperation sectors, such as energy, economy, security, and investment.”
