Over the course of two consecutive days (Wednesday and Thursday), the Minister of Public Works and Basic Installations, Abdelkader Glaoui, undertook an extensive inspection tour that included the states of Annaba, El Tarf, Guelma, and Souk Ahras, to monitor in the field the progress of the works on the Eastern Mining Line Project and the strategic projects associated with it.
The Minister began his tour from Annaba Province by inspecting the Annaba Phosphate Port expansion project (included within the Integrated Phosphate Project), where he visited the workshops for completing the mining pier, driving stakes, and extending the breakwater, amid the announcement of the launch of the process of filling behind the pier with marine sand, starting from June 15, on an area of 52 hectares, in preparation for the construction of the superstructure next October.
He also inspected, in the same state, the work of reconnecting and completing the retaining walls at the Al-Hajar station at kilometer 10, which falls within the northern section linking Annaba and Bousheqouf, at a distance of 54 kilometers.
According to a statement by the Guardian Ministry, Minister Jalawi arrived in the state of Al-Tarf, where he was received by the governor of the state, Mr. Mohamed Meziane, along with the local authorities and elected representatives, to inspect, in his first stop, the completion works of Tunnel No. 03 in the municipality of Al-Shihani (at kilometer point 30) within the project of avoiding Al-Dharaan, giving strict instructions to strengthen the workshops and harness additional material capabilities to increase productivity while respecting safety standards.
At the second stop in Al-Tarf, the Minister inspected the project to complete the train station in Shihani, located within the eastern mining line project in its part linking Bousheqouf and Annaba. He then moved directly to the third point of his visit to the project in the same state, where he inspected the works on the cutting points and intersections at kilometer point No. 36, stressing the need to harness all available capabilities regarding the laying of the railway and the tunnel, in order to accelerate the pace of the works and complete the project within the earliest specified deadlines.
In a related context, the Minister of Public Works and Basic Facilities arrived in the state of Guelma, where he was received by the governor of the state, Mr. Samir Chibani, accompanied by the civil and military authorities. The Minister began his visit by inspecting the project to complete the duality of National Road No. 16 over a distance of 42 kilometers, to determine the pace of work.
He also followed detailed technical presentations on the dualization project of National Road No. 20, extending over a distance of 40.5 kilometers, which aims to improve transportation conditions and enhance connectivity between regions. At the second station in Guelma, Galawi inspected the works at the cutting points and intersections at kilometer 42, after which he moved to the third station in the municipality of Bousheqouf. The Boudroa passenger station at the 50th kilometer point is inspected, giving instructions to adhere to quality standards.
Then, at the fourth station, he inspected the passenger station in Bushqof at kilometer 54 and viewed its facilities, followed by the fifth station, which inspected the land preparation works and technical installations along a section extending for 72 kilometers as part of the (Dari’a – Bushquf) axis, which is 121 kilometers long.
In the sixth station, he inspected the completion works of the two bridges (V1 and V2) in the Ain Al-Sanur section, and the inspection continued in the seventh station in the same section to inspect the backfilling and surfacing workshops after inspecting bridges 1, 2, and 3, where he ordered the doubling of efforts.
In the eighth station, the Minister continued the first workshop for installing prestressed concrete beams using advanced mechanisms, then the ninth station, which included the installation of iron beams and the completion of the concrete slab with metal molds, followed by the tenth and eleventh stations, inspecting the works of tunnels No. 2 (at the 75 kilometer point) and No. 3 in the (Ain Al-Sanour – Bousheqouf) section.
He concluded the Guelma stations at the twelfth station by inspecting Bridge No. 09, which extends 450 meters in length and includes one of the highest columns with a height of more than 80 meters, consuming more than 3,000 cubic meters of reinforced concrete for the foundation of one of its columns, recommending strengthening the means of completion and strict adherence to quality and safety standards.
As an extension of this strategic axis, the Minister of Public Works and Basic Establishments arrived in the state of Souk Ahras, where he was received by the governor of the state and the civil and military authorities. He began his visit by inspecting Bridge No. 15 in the section (Ain El-Sanur – Bousheqof), stressing the mobilization of capabilities to complete the works, then moving on in the second stop to inspect Bridge No. 16, receiving explanations about the progress of the works and the recorded technical difficulties, and giving directions to intensify coordination.
In the third station, the Minister inspected Bridge No. 17 to follow the pace of completion and maintain its current pace. In the evening, in the fourth station, he inspected the works of Tunnel No. 04, the implementation of which is supervised by the “Kosidar Public Works” Foundation, where he was informed of the progress rate of the workshop and the capabilities harnessed in view of the special technical nature of the facility.
In its fifth stop, it inspected the night works on Bridge No. 29, located in the section linking Ain Al-Sanour and Bousheqouf, at a distance of 72 kilometers. He focused on the level of field recruitment, stressing the necessity of continuing to work on the shift system and mobilizing all available human, material and technical resources to accelerate the pace of achievement and bring this vital artery into service to support the mobility of mining transport and develop the national economy in accordance with the highest international standards.
For the second day in a row, the Minister of Public Works and Basic Installations continued his field inspection visit to the province of Souk Ahras state to follow up on the workshops of the eastern mine line. As he arrived at the thirty-second (32nd) stop of this expanded regional tour, the Minister reviewed the pace of progress of the completion of Bridge No. 19, extending over a length of 249 metres, and received detailed technical explanations in the field.
In the context of the continuation of this intensive field trip, the Minister inspected the thirty-third (33) and thirty-four (34) stops of his transit visit to the state of Souk Ahras, where he closely inspected the progress of the construction works on bridges No. 20 and No. 21 in the state territory.
During these two stations, the Minister was briefed on the progress of the works in the various open workshops along the line. He also received detailed technical explanations from those in charge of the project on the rates of progress achieved and the ongoing stages of completion, in addition to reviewing the extent of recruiting and mobilizing the human, material, and technical capabilities harnessed in the field.
During his thirty-fifth stop of his inspection visit to the Eastern Mining Line project linking Annaba and Bilad Al-Hadba, Glaoui inspected the progress of the construction works on Bridge No. 22 in the province of Souk Ahras Province.
During this station, the Minister received technical explanations about the progress of the works, as the civil engineering works were completed and the columns were completed and installed, while the installation of iron beams, which constitute one of the basic stages in the completion of this technical facility, began.
Gallawi also reviewed the conditions for the progress of the works in these workshops, which are being carried out within a complex geographical environment and terrain, which necessitated the recruitment of important human, material and technical capabilities to ensure the implementation of the works in accordance with the approved technical standards.
On the 36th leg of his inspection visit to the Eastern Mining Line project linking Annaba and Bilad Al-Hadba, the Minister of Public Works and Basic Installations, Abdelkader Glaoui, inspected the progress of construction works on Bridge No. 23 in the province of Souk Ahras Province.
The Minister also highlighted the technical challenges associated with the completion of this technical facility in an area characterized by complex terrain, which required the adoption of appropriate engineering solutions and the mobilization of significant capabilities to complete the works in accordance with the approved technical standards.
Gallawi stressed the need to continue efforts and increase the pace of completion, while strengthening coordination between the various stakeholders and harnessing all available capabilities, allowing the works to be completed within the specified deadlines and contributing to the realization of this important strategic project.
In the 37th and 38th stops of his inspection visit to the Eastern Mining Line project linking Annaba and Bilad Al-Hadba, the Minister of Public Works and Basic Installations, Abdelkader Glaoui, inspected the progress of the completion of bridges No. 24 and 25 in the province of Souk Ahras state.
During this station, the Minister was briefed on the pace of progress of the works in the various workshops, where he received technical explanations about the recorded completion rates and the stages of the ongoing works, in addition to the level of recruitment of human, material and technical capabilities harnessed to complete these two technical facilities.
On the 39th leg of his inspection visit to the Eastern Mining Line project linking Annaba and Bilad Al-Hadba, the Minister inspected the progress of the construction works on Bridge No. 26 in the province of Souk Ahras State, where he received technical explanations about the various stages of completion and the rate of progress of the works, in addition to the human, material and technical capabilities recruited in these workshops, which fall within the series of technical installations completed at the level of the Ain El Sennour-Bocheqouf section.
On the 40th leg of his inspection visit to the eastern mining line project crossing the territory of the state of Souk Ahras, Glaoui, accompanied by the governor of the state, inspected the progress of the work on the completion of Bridge No. 27. The minister stressed the need to continue efforts and accelerate the pace of works, while ensuring respect for quality and safety standards and mobilizing all available capabilities, allowing the completion of this technical facility within the specified deadlines.
In the 41st leg of his inspection visit to the eastern mining line project crossing the territory of the state of Souk Ahras, the Minister inspected the progress of the construction works on Bridge No. 30, which is being supervised by the Sabta Foundation, where he reviewed the pace of the ongoing works in these workshops.
Jalawi stressed the need to accelerate the pace of work and redouble field efforts in order to complete this technical facility within the specified deadlines.
