Wilaya of Auserd, April 11, 2026 (SPS) – The President of the Republic, Secretary-General of the Polisario Front, Brahim Ghali, received the Venezuelan Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Yuri Pimentel, who is leading his country’s delegation participating in the celebrations marking the 50th anniversary of the proclamation of the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic (SADR).
During the meeting, both sides discussed the strong bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries. The President of the Republic expressed the Sahrawi people’s gratitude to the Venezuelan government for its steadfast support and solidarity with their struggle.
For his part, the Venezuelan Deputy Minister reaffirmed his country’s supportive position and his government’s commitment to continuing its backing of the Sahrawi people’s just cause and their inalienable right to self-determination.
The meeting was attended, on the Venezuelan side, by the accredited ambassador of Venezuela to the Sahrawi Republic, Emad Saab. On the Sahrawi side, attendees included the Minister of Foreign Affairs and African Affairs, Mohamed Yeslem Beissat, the ambassador in charge of Latin America and the Caribbean, Mohamed Zroug, the Sahrawi ambassador to Venezuela, Mohamed Salem Ali Argeibi, and the advisor to the Presidency, Nana Labat Rachid.
