INVESTIGATORS IN St Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG), have yet to determine whether a recent shooting with guns on camera of Sebastian “Bassy” John, was artificially generated.
John was found dead in his community of Ottley Hall on March 25, 2026, and about a day after his shooting death, a six second video began making the rounds on social media showing his execution.
The video shows the hands of two gunmen shooting into John as he is on the ground.
The shooting is captioned “in West Kingstown we don’t tolerate molesting little girls. Child molesters we urging y’all to stop eyeing children is y’all will be dealt with accordingly. Take this as a warning not a threat Westbank 6ix never die. Do it with joy”.
John is known to law enforcement. In March 2023, he was imprisoned for three years after the court heard he was caught as a trespasser in the bedroom of a three-year old child with his ‘private’ in his hand. He was also sentenced to prison for attempted rape in 2009. Allegations coming out of Ottley Hall are that John had recently assaulted an elderly woman from the area.
