“We must speak to different electorates, both the right-wing and the moderate. To the young and the more mature. To urban as well as rural voters. This diversity is absolutely essential,” said PiS leader Jarosław Kaczyński on TV Republika.
Kaczyński was a guest of Danuta Holecka on the program Gość Dzisiaj on TV Republika. He was asked whether the arrangements made in recent days with former Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki were still valid.
“These arrangements are still in force. I also had contact with Prime Minister Morawiecki today, and they are being upheld. There were some who went beyond these arrangements, but later withdrew. In short, it’s not bad,”
Kaczyński said.
“Politics is a path that is at least as rough as a cobblestone road, if not an uphill climb. It is a difficult matter,” the PiS leader admitted, referring to recent developments. He added that politics is a competitive field.
Kaczyński confirmed that Przemysław Czarnek remains the party’s candidate for prime minister, and that the party has “two lungs.”
“We must speak to different electorates, both the right-wing and the moderate. To the young and the more mature. To urban as well as rural voters. This diversity is absolutely essential. We have always done this and want to continue doing so, but today, Poland is in a different situation. It is an exceptionally difficult one, which means we must act with very careful preparation,”
Kaczyński said.
“Belief is important in politics, the belief that we are able to stop everything that is going wrong in Poland and return to the right track, the one we followed during our eight years in government. We have nothing to be ashamed of; it was a very good time for Poland,”
he added.
