Two people who were paragliding in Ormanlı District of Istanbul’s Çatalca district had an accident.
According to the information obtained, the parachute carrying paragliders Tahsin Günay and Defne Sezer crashed into the rocks for an unknown reason. Upon the notice of those who saw the accident, AFAD and medical teams were dispatched to the region.
As a result of the work carried out by the teams, Tahsin Günay and Defne Sezer, who were injured, were rescued from where they were. The two injured, who received first aid at the scene, were taken to hospital by ambulance and treated.
An investigation has been launched into the cause of the accident.

Istanbul Provincial Health Director Abdullah Emre Güner, in his post on his NSosyal account, stated that the teams were quickly dispatched to the scene upon the notice that 2 citizens, including a child, were injured when they crashed into the rocks due to the wind during the paragliding activity in Çatalca.
In his post, Güner said, “Following the first interventions performed by our medical teams at the scene, our injured child was transferred to the hospital by ambulance, and the other injured person was transferred via ambulance helicopter. I convey my best wishes to our citizens and wish a speedy recovery to our injured people who are still receiving treatment.” he said.
