He Olimpia Sports Club continues to strengthen its squad for the 2026-2027 season and this Friday announced the incorporation of the Uruguayan forward Nicolás Ezequiel Dibble Aristimuño. With this signing, the merengue team adds its fourth official signing to face the Apertura Tournament 2026 and the Concacaf Central American Cup.
The arrival of Dibble joins previously confirmed additions of Janier Bermúdez, Cristian Canales and Carlos Cuelloplayers with whom the board seeks to strengthen the team it directs Eduardo Espinel for the national and international challenges that lie ahead.
Through an official statement, the Albo club highlighted the career of the 32-year-old Uruguayan attacker, who began his professional career in Plaza Colonia de Uruguay. On that team he coincided with the coach Eduardo Espinelachieving promotion to the First Division and subsequently conquering the historic Uruguayan Clausura Tournament, one of the greatest successes in the history of the institution.
His performance in Uruguayan football opened the doors of clubs with great tradition such as Peñarol and Gimnasia y Esgrima La Plata, Argentina. Later he returned to Colonia Square and returned to work under the orders of Espinelachieving success again by becoming champion of the Uruguay Apertura Tournament in 2021.
Nicolás Dibble’s career also includes international experience. In 2023 he played for Sport Club Vitória in Brazil, later he defended the colors of Rampla Juniors in Uruguay and during the first half of 2026 he was part of Mushuc Runa of the First Division of Ecuador, where he remained active before finalizing his arrival in Honduran football.
As reported Olympiathe forward will join preseason work on June 22, the date on which the team will begin its preparation for the new campaign. The club welcomed the Uruguayan attacker and expressed its best wishes for a successful stage defending the King of Cups shirt.
