The senator and pre-candidate for President Flavio Bolsonaro (PL) criticized “provocations and demands” between allies after a new episode of exchange of insults between one of his brothers and the federal deputy Nikolas Ferreira (PL-MG) on social media.
“Here is my sincere request: there is no need to ‘pressure’ anyone or ‘defend’ me from people who also want Bolsonaro as the Presidency of the Republic. I have said it a few times and I repeat, everyone has their own time and their own way of helping”, Flávio wrote in a post on Friday night (24).
Earlier, Nikolas had stated that, if the cognitive capacity of councilor Jair Renan Bolsonaro (PL) and that of another right-wing influencer who criticizes him were added, they would still would not reach that of a “blind mole”.
The new fight began when Junior Japa’s profile mocked the deputy for changing the black t-shirt made famous in his videos denouncing the Lula (PT) government for a white one to promote works linked to the governor of Minas Gerais, Mateus Simões (PSD), who is campaigning for former governor Romeu Zema (Novo) for the Presidency.
“If he swapped the black t-shirt for the white one, it’s because he felt (the criticism)”, wrote the influencer.
Nikolas responded by saying that he would “also send an amendment to admit you to a mental institution” and was countered by Jair Renan, who used an old internet meme with the narrator Galvão Bueno to mock the federal deputy for having felt the criticism.
After the presidential candidate’s post, the deputy from Minas Gerais responded to the appeal and stated that he has suffered provocations “for three years” and remained silent. “But like every human being, I have a limit. And over time, several long-time, loyal and upstanding allies have been targeted by the same group that adds nothing, other than generating division and even monitoring/persecution of those who don’t post a percentage that they want.”
Nikolas also cited supporters in the Chamber, stating that they have become “daily targets” of persecution, “undermining the very foundation that his father created.”
“This has created a climate that no one can stand anymore. Few have the courage to face it, and when they do, they receive the label of ‘traitors'”, he said.
At the beginning of the month, former federal deputy Eduardo Bolsonaro said that “the spotlight and fame” hurt the Minas Gerais parliamentarian.
“You continue to put Flavio in a spiral of silence, with less than half a dozen public support, just to pretend not to have abandoned the political group that projected you,” he wrote at the time.
In February, Nikolas had already stated, after visiting Jair Bolsonaro (PL) in Papudinha, which Eduardo “is not well”in response to criticism made against him and the former first lady Michelle Bolsonaro because, in Eduardo’s view, they had not engaged enough in Flávio’s campaign.
How to Sheet showed, Nikolas cited Flávio in 10 of the 544 posts which he did at Nikolas and allies argue that his role is different, to wear down the president Lula (PT) and increase mobilization around conservative agendas.
The PL’s internal split, with public demands and exchanges of barbs on social media, is another chapter in the fight for influence and protagonism on the Bolsonaro right after former president Bolsonaro was arrested and declared ineligible.
