The citizens of Assumption They will continue to pay for almost three years plus the interest and principal of the G6 bonds (2020)with which the former mayor Óscar “Nenecho” Rodríguez (ANR-chartista) promised to invest in the revitalization of 10 public squares. The original broadcast of the G6 bonuses (2020) was finalized for a total of G. 100,000 million. The municipal administration had justified this millionaire debt with the promise of executing it in the development of urban infrastructureroad improvements and the provision of essential services. Many of the promises, however, were never executed.
Millions of amounts for places that were never planned

However, as ABC revealed, the technical directorates of the capital commune confirmed in this fiscal year 2026, that they do not have any registrationconstruction plan, technical background or supporting documents that demonstrate that said civil constructions ever existed in the real planning.

The only documented case where the municipality actually initiated a physical intervention corresponds to the United Nations Plazafrom the Mburicao neighborhood. This project was awarded by Nenecho Rodríguez to D&D Architecture and Construction by G. 2,094 millionamount expanded to G. 2,332 million. The project, however, was left unfinished at the end of his term and the plaza was closed for almost three years.
According to data from the portal of the National Directorate of Public Contracts (DNCP), of the total allocated budget, the Municipality of Asunción barely certified and paid the sum of G. 971 million to the construction company, leaving the community space in a dilapidated, abandoned and unfinished state. The current mayor, Luis Bello (ANR- Chartist), terminated the contract with the contractor and the work was completed with municipal funds in December 2025.
G6 Bonds: The schedule of a debt that Asuncenos will pay until 2029
According to official data from the Municipality of Asunción, the total amount paid up to February 2025 in respect of the G6 bonds amounted to G. 102,057 millionboth the capital disbursement and the interest.
During Nenecho’s administration, the Municipality had carried out a maneuver of financial cycling by carrying out a partial redemption of the capital owed by G. 25,000 millionusing a new debt placement, the G9 bondswhose capital and interest payments go until 2035.

The commune’s documents reveal that, as of February 2025, the remaining capital balance was G. 50,000 million. To this amount are added interest for more than G. 27.5 billion. The payment schedule stipulates that the final maturity of the principal and interest securities, which amounts to G. 77.5 billionreaches the January 19, 2029.
Insults and demarcation: The furious reaction of “Nenecho” on networks
Over the weekend, former Mayor Rodríguez reacted with fury on social networks after ABC publications that exposed his management. When questioned by a user on platform no progress in the worksthe former communal chief violently attacked the Internet user with disqualifying insults.

Accounting disappearance of G6 funds and the role of the Comptroller’s Office
