Basketball women Ásta Júlía Grímsdóttir and Emma Theodórsson have joined the reigning Icelandic champions in Njarðvík for the upcoming season in the premier league.
Earlier today, Ásta Júlía announced that she was leaving Val, but now it has become clear that she has signed with Njarðvík.
Ásta Júlía, who is 25 years old, has 17 A-national games behind her and has been in a big role for Val for many years. At Hlíðarenda, she has become Iceland champion three times and cup champion once.
Emma, who is a 23-year-old forward, is signing her first contract in the Premier League, having just completed her studies at George Washington University in the United States.
