Mulla Abdul Ghani Baradar Akhund said that working together in the fields of agriculture, mining, transport, railway and industry, increasing the export of agricultural products, strengthening banking relations, agreements related to agriculture and livestock, technical cooperation in the field of financial markets, use of domestic currency, development of transport and logistics cooperation, the proposal of a joint center of Afghanistan, Iran, Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan and the importation of goods related to Afghanistan in Khargoz port. The economic deputy of the Prime Minister added that Afghanistan has finalized the draft of the road map from its side and requests the Kazakh side to finalize the relevant parts and prepare the ground for its implementation.
Mulla Abdul Ghani Baradar Akhund called the role of the private sector important for the development of economic cooperation and said that the increase of trade exhibitions, joint economic forums, cooperation between chambers of commerce and mutual trips of businessmen can create new economic opportunities and increase the level of investment. Also, Serik Zhomangarin said that the prime minister of Kazakhstan has special attention to the development of relations and economic cooperation with Afghanistan, and today’s visit was also guided by him.
He added that his country is ready to cooperate with Afghanistan in the field of diagnosis of heart diseases, strengthening of the security sector and water management.
Zhomangarin said that they will open an academic center for water management at Kabul University that will train Afghan experts.
At the end of the meeting, the increase of transport, exports and imports, establishment of banking facilities, the early finalization of the road map of economic cooperation and a number of other topics were discussed and emphasized.
