The NGO Monitor Ciudad revealed this Friday a semiannual report that determined that 98% of Venezuelan families face failures in basic services at least once a week, according to measurements made on the quality of the electrical energydistribution of drinking water and gas supply in the country.
The report, prepared from continuous monitoring in different regions, exposed the operational vulnerability of national networks that affects the daily development of homes.
Therefore, the results showed marked discrepancies between the capital and the interior entities in terms of continuity and coverage of benefits.
The operational director of Citizenship Without Limits and City Monitor, Jesús Vásquez, explained that, although since At the beginning of the records in 2019, slight advances were detected, The improvements are insufficient given the size of the technical problem.

In relation to the electrical service, the study specified that in Caracas and Miranda the suspensions amounted to an average of 1.5 hours per week, while in Táchira the record It fluctuated between 34 and 58 hours per week.
Regarding material damage, 7% of the sample evaluated reported the loss of electronic equipment due to voltage fluctuations. “From the cell phone to the refrigerator, a cost that no one replaces,” said Vásquez.
Regarding irregularities in relation to the supply of domestic gas, the spokesperson specified that people can spend 15 days and up to a month to get a new cylinder.
