Ulaanbaatar,
April 20, 2026 /MONTSAME/. The
2026 Asian Judo Championships for seniors have been held in Ordos, Inner Mongolia,
China.
On April 19, Mongolia’s national team won the mixed team
title after topping Group D. Mongolia defeated Uzbekistan 4–3 in the group
final and then swept Kazakhstan 4–0 in the championship match to claim the
continental crown.
In the women’s +78 kg division,
Mongolia’s International Master Adyasuren Amarsaikhan won a bronze medal. She secured the medal by
defeating reigning world champion Kim Hayun of South Korea in the bronze medal
bout.
The result marked Adyasuren’s second bronze medal at the
Asian Championships, having also won bronze at the 2024 edition held in Hong
Kong, according to the Mongolian Judo Federation.
