Launching a business in Monaco has become easier thanks to a new online platform allowing eligible entrepreneurs to apply digitally for professional start-up assistance.
Since Tuesday, June 3, Monegasque nationals and their spouses who are creating their first independent business activity in the Principality can submit applications for the government’s professional installation aid scheme through MonGuichet.mc.
The support programme is currently helping more than 100 entrepreneurs by covering social security contributions and part of their professional rent for up to three years, reducing some of the financial pressures faced during the early stages of a new venture.
Until now, applicants were required to submit paperwork directly to the Direction du Développement Économique. The new digital service centralises the entire process online, enabling users to complete applications, upload supporting documents and monitor the progress of their requests through a single platform.
Authorities say the system has been designed to guide entrepreneurs through each stage of the application process while simplifying administrative procedures and reducing paperwork.
The initiative forms part of Monaco’s broader digital transformation strategy, led jointly by the Department of Finance and Economy and the Interministerial Delegation for Digital Transition. It follows previous efforts to move company creation and registered office transfer procedures online.
Officials believe the new service will not only improve accessibility for entrepreneurs but also streamline internal processing by providing economic development teams with standardised and centralised application files.
