“Very important exercises took place. That is why the government meeting could not be held,” said Jakub Rutnicki on RMF FM. “Dear National Prosecutor’s Office, I am filing a notification of suspected disclosure of classified information by Jakub Rutnicki,” wrote Cezary Gmyz on X.
Mandatory training
RMF reported that Karol Nawrocki and members of the government took part in special military training focused on response scenarios in the event of various threats. The training was mandatory and stemmed from provisions of the Homeland Defence Act. It was a classified event, yet Jakub Rutnicki spoke about it publicly.
“I can’t say too much about it. Very important exercises took place. That is why the government meeting could not be held. The entire government participated in these exercises. They lasted from the morning until late afternoon. The Polish government must always be prepared. These are exercises that are conducted from time to time. We cannot talk about these exercises,”
the minister said.
His remarks drew criticism, among others, from the head of the National Security Bureau, Sławomir Cenckiewicz, who wrote on X: “But the date of this event and its circumstances are classified!”
In turn, Cezary Gmyz brought the matter to the attention of the prosecution.
“Dear National Prosecutor’s Office, I am filing a notification of suspected disclosure of classified information by Jakub Rutnicki,”
he emphasized on X.
