After visiting 15 minutes in the program “Kas gero Eurovizijoje”, Marijus Berenis revealed that the band “LT United” stuck to him the most among the Lithuanian representatives in the contest, which achieved the highest result of our country in 2006 – that time the Lithuanians took 6th place.
However, M. Berenis added that there were more strong Lithuanian performances in Eurovision. So why can’t we get a victory?
“I still don’t understand how that lottery ends up there, because let’s say Latvians and Estonians have won, but Lithuanians haven’t. I think it’s cruelly unfair. If they used to say that countries that can’t organize a good Eurovision won’t be allowed to win, then our national Eurovision selection looks quite good now. I think – we would make such a “Eurovision” here that it would be wow”, – 15 minutes in the show “What’s good at Eurovision?” Marius said.
However, then the host Paulius Vaitiekūnas touched on another aspect – where would Eurovision be held if we had to host it?
“We can’t win, Marija, because the “Zalgiris” arena is very busy, go ahead booked. We need to organize Eurovision – Euroleague, that’s all,” said P. Vaitiekūnas.
“And it’s not possible in Vilnius?” asked M. Berenis.
Then he made an unexpected offer.
“I’m just considering the options anyway. We can also do it in Vingios Park if necessary”, – 15 minutes Marijus spoke in the program “Kas gero Eurovision”.
“How would it be Lithuanian”, Paulius responded to such a proposal.
“First open air (in the open air – ed. past) “Eurovision” festival,” said M. Berenis.
“During the rain,” laughed Paul.
“Live broadcast,” Marius continued.
“Everyone with umbrellas and raincoats”, P. Vaitiekūnas added.
M. Bereni also had to evaluate this year’s four Eurovision songs: Armenia vs. Italy and Finland vs. Australia fought in duels. Why did Marijus comment on Finnish favorites and which piece did he like the most? The whole thing 15 minutes of the show “What’s good at Eurovision?” watch the episode here:
