The Italian-Brazilian architect Lina Bo Bardi (1914-1992), a figure belatedly celebrated for his authorship of landmark works of contemporary Brazilian architecture such as the São Paulo Museum of Art (MASP1958) and the culture and leisure center Sesc Pompeia (1977-82), both in They are Paul, city in which he chose to live from the mid-20th century onwards, disappeared more than three decades ago. But Marcelo Ferrazarchitect, his disciple, collaborator and friend, continues to bring it with him wherever he works, writes or talks about his work. And this happens, once again, in a new book, Next to Linapublished last year by São Paulo-based WMF Martins Fontes, and now also available in Portugal.
