The director of the Miss Universe Dominican Republic pageant Magali Febles filed a complaint against the designer and image consultant Keyther Estevez for alleged violation of Law 53-07 on High Technology Crimes and Crimes.
Febles announced the news through a publication on his Instagram account, where he shared a photograph of the document dated May 6 in which the Inspector of the High Technology Investigative Department of the National District quotes Estévez.
Estévez would have appeared this Tuesday, May 26, at the Ciudad Nueva Courthouse to participate in the investigation after Febles initiated legal action.
The stylist and beauty pageant expert stated that she suffered a verbal attack from Estévez when they met in a shopping center in the city.
“Whoever uses my photos, digital media, interviews, social networks or public platforms to defame me, harass me, invent false facts or damage my reputation, will have to respond to justice. Enough is enough!” Febles wrote on his social networks.
“Freedom of expression is not a license to destroy reputations with lies. Whoever defames will have to prove it before the law. And today the law is being applied firmly. Enough of turning personal differences into campaigns of discredit, insults and public attacks to tarnish the good name,” he added.
“The trash, the gossip and the manipulated audios, let them stay in their spaces… not in my life. The new law is fast and with jail and remuneration. The worst thing is that it is not the first time that I visit the attorney general’s office with you,” he concluded.
