Presidential Council (PC) head, Mohamed Menfi, held talks in Tripoli on Monday with Greece’s Foreign Minister, Giorgos Gerapetritis, focusing on bilateral ties and developments in the country.
According to a PC statement, the meeting addressed political and economic developments in Libya, as well as ways to expand cooperation across a range of sectors, with the aim of supporting shared interests and stability in the Mediterranean.
Both sides highlighted the importance of closer coordination and the exchange of views to support security and stability, while promoting peaceful approaches to crises based on dialogue and regional cooperation.
The discussions also covered economic cooperation, including support for a greater role for Greek companies in Libya’s reconstruction efforts, alongside calls to improve the investment climate and broaden economic engagement between the two countries.
The meeting concluded with an emphasis on maintaining communication channels and reactivating joint institutional frameworks, including the revival of a joint committee and the continuation of a bilateral committee on maritime boundary delimitation, reflecting what both sides described as a shared political will to advance Libyan–Greek relations.
