Ukrainian Minister of Foreign Affairs Andrij Sibiha he sent a harsh message to the Russian leader Vladimir Putinemphasizing that by attacking Ukraine he made a “historical mistake” and once again called on him to immediately end the war, writes Ukrainska Pravda.
– Putin didn’t just miscalculate when he attacked Ukraine. He made a historic mistake. With every month in which he refuses to accept it and end this war, the situation will only get worse for him and his regime, Sibiha said in a post on the X social network.
The Ukrainian head of diplomacy pointed out that the Russian president has a very simple way out of this situation at any moment.
– All that needs to be done is to order its occupying forces to declare a ceasefire and stop the war, he added.
A heavy blow for Moscow’s propaganda
Sibiha specifically referred to the fact that Ukraine has recently been carrying out more and more long-range strikes deep inside Russian territory, emphasizing a detail that caused serious headaches for the Kremlin media. Namely, all these attacks are carried out exclusively with Ukrainian-made weapons.
The minister explained that Putin’s propaganda systematically convinced the Russian public from the very beginning that Moscow was not at war against Ukraine, but against the ‘collective West’.
– This is designed to hide Putin’s humiliation and explain why this war has lasted longer than the First World War. A war against a country which he claimed did not exist at all and which should have collapsed a few years ago, Sibiha pointed out and concluded:
– Now it is especially significant that all 100 percent of long-range strikes on Moscow and other Russian regions are carried out with weapons produced in Ukraine.
