Ecuador is part of the fifteen countries participating in the IV South American Youth Games that began this Sunday, April 12, in Panama City.
The opening of the contest took place at the Rommel Fernández Gutiérrez stadium.
And this Monday the 13th the Ecuadorian delegation entered the scene with the disciplines of judo, surfing, table tennis and wrestling.
In judo, Juan Soriano won the first tricolor medal. He won bronze after beating the Peruvian Benjamín Burnside in the -55 kg category.
Before, the compatriot defeated the Paraguayan Giovanni Paciello.
In table tennis, Boris Villavicencio won his match 4-0 (11-7/12-10/11-3/11-4) against local Félix Díaz and advanced to the round of 16 in men’s singles. (D)
