Jakaj: The government failed to protect workers, there are no mediators, neither the union nor the pensioners

Invited to the “Tempus” show on T7, Naim Jakaj, senior researcher at the Kosovo Law Institute (KLI), said that the Government has failed to protect workers and that it has neither unions nor pensioners as mediators.
“To return to the very specific question, the Kurti Government has failed to protect the worker, except for having reached a certain extent by establishing those policies that I discussed earlier, the form of social transfers, so there is no intermediary, not even the union, not even the pensioners’ association, for example,” said Jakaj.
Further, Jakaj added that the Government has not implemented the law when determining the basic pension.
“We know how the minimum wage was increased in this case, without any intermediaries, without any associations, and we know how pensions were distributed without any consultation, without any correct implementation of the law on the implementation of the methodology for determining the basic pension, for example,” added Jakaj.
