A delegation of senior officials from Iran arrived in Islamabad ahead of ceasefire talks with USA in the Pakistani capital, Iranian state television reported on Friday.
The delegation was headed by the president of the Parliament Iranian, Mohammad Bagher Ghalibafalong with the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Abás Araqchi, and other security and economic officials, the state broadcaster said on its website. IRIB.
However, he reiterated Iran’s position that talks will only begin if Washington accept the prior conditions of Tehran. Ghalibaf had previously established a ceasefire in Lebanon and the “release of Iran’s blocked assets” as conditions for the start of negotiations with USAwhose delegation will be headed by the vice president J.D. Vance.
