Iran has warned that the entire agreement could be in crisis if the accord between the United States and Iran to end the Middle East war is not implemented quickly. The country’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs says that if the terms of the agreement are not implemented soon, the future of this agreement will be at risk.
Iran’s foreign ministry spokesman Ismail Baghai said on Saturday that the other side (US-Israel) should take the necessary steps as soon as possible. If not, the whole agreement will be in trouble. Iran’s official news agency IRNA published his statement.
He said that an Iranian negotiating team will go to Switzerland very soon to ensure the implementation of the agreement. There they will meet with the US and review how the terms of the agreement are being implemented.
Baghai also said that the main task of the delegation will be to review the progress of implementation of the other party’s commitments and, if necessary, to exert strong pressure to fulfill those obligations.
The agreement was recently signed to end the ongoing conflict in the Middle East. But despite the agreement, Israel continues to attack Lebanon. Tehran is now giving the most importance to the speed of implementation of that agreement.
According to analysts, the success of the accord is highly dependent on swift action. Iran’s warning message makes it clear that if US pledges are not implemented, tensions between the two countries could rise again.
