Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky responded to these statements. He noted that the official documents for the negotiations do not contain terms other than “Donetsk region”, “Luhansk region”, “our Donbas” and “territory of Ukraine”.
Trump, on the other hand, commented on media reports that the United States had invited Russian leader Vladimir Putin to the G20 summit in Miami.
The US president replied that this was not true, but considered it a “useful” option.
“I didn’t invite Putin to the G20 summit, but if he had come, it probably would have been very helpful,” Trump said.
