Cristian Selva immediately gets off to a great start, very great indeed, given that in the second heat he finishes with a magnificent second best flight, finding himself behind the current European champions, then in the other heats the points no longer arrive also due to some imperfections due to the very strong wind, then on the last flight (the second unknown) he had to perform the last two aerobatics in slow motion due to a sudden drop in the plane’s performance due to power management. He closed the competition in eighth place as well as in participation in the freestyle competition. The potential is there, and in the first year in the top category also manned by professionals, we couldn’t ask for more, we are sure that with determination and perseverance the rise to the top will be there, as it has been in the lower categories in recent years; the Team and the Federation will do everything possible to support the young San Marino talent. Different story for Massimo Selva who had to face a terrible draw of lots, twice first to start in the respective heats, one of which with an unknown program, out of a total of 5 heats. As expected, the race was all uphill, but still with high level performances, only the first unknown was decidedly subdued. He finishes in eleventh place overall. The Italian Sacha Cecconi wins the race, second is the Austrian Werner Kohlberger, third is the Belgian Deprince Timen, worth mentioning is the unusual fourth position of the “fresh” European F3A champion, the Austrian Brukmann Gernot. Absent was Sebastiano Silvestri who was involved in another non-competitive aeromodelling event in Germany.
