Upon his arrival, HRH Princess Lalla Asmaa reviewed a section of the Auxiliary Forces which rendered the honors, before being greeted by the Minister of Health and Social Protection, the Minister of Youth, Culture and Communication, the Minister Delegate in charge of the budget, the ambassador of Rwanda to Morocco, the wali of the region of Rabat-Salé-Kénitra, the wali, national coordinator of the INDH, the president of the regional council of Rabat-Salé-Kénitra, the president of Rabat municipal council, the president of the Rabat prefectural council and the president of the Agdal-Riad district council.
His Royal Highness was also greeted by the delegate president of the Lalla Asmaa Foundationthe ambassador, director general of the Moroccan Agency for International Cooperation, the director of the Territorial Health Group of the Rabat-Salé-Kénitra region, the director of the Ibn Sina University Hospital in Rabat and the director of the specialty hospital in Rabat.
On this occasion, His Royal Highness met Moroccan and Palestinian children as well as others from African countries, who recently underwent cochlear implant transplant operations.
Indeed, 56 children, accompanied by their families, were welcomed to Rabat for cochlear and bone anchor implantations, as part of the “United, we get along better” program.
At the same time, HRH Princess Lalla Asmaa followed explanations on the bone anchoring technique with active piezoelectric technology, which benefits children for whom the conventional cochlear implant can do nothing.
Subsequently, HRH Princess Lalla Asmaa went to the headquarters of the “Lalla Asmaa” Foundation where Her Royal Highness, first of all, visited the stands of leisure activities offered to implanted children, before following a presentation on the importance of speech therapy, parental guidance, home monitoring, and the value of the external cochlear implant device, the daily maintenance of which directly determines the quality of the child’s hearing. the child.
His Royal Highness then visited the cochlear implant adjustment room for more than 100 children implanted as part of the “NASMAA” program, thanks to the new “ConnectCare” device, developed by the Lalla Asmaa Foundation and allowing certain adjustments to be carried out remotely, in real time, via a secure connection.
Along the same lines, the Foundation has developed a remote speech therapy application, which allows sessions to continue with increased regularity, an often decisive factor in language acquisition.
The highlight of this Day is the launch by HRH Princess Lalla Asmaa of the unique national program “hearing aids for all”, which aims to make hearing aids free and accessible to the most deprived Moroccans.
This program, one of the most direct manifestations of the Vision held by His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God preserve Him, of a society where equal opportunities are a daily reality, extends the Foundation’s mandate beyond the cochlear implant to all forms of deafness and hard of hearing.
Subsequently, HRH Princess Lalla Asmaa chaired the signing ceremony of five cooperation agreements aimed at improving and expanding access to hearing equipment throughout the territory. The first concluded between the Lalla Asmaa Foundation and the Ministry of Solidarity, Social Inclusion and Family, was signed by the Deputy President of the Lalla Asmaa Foundation, Mr. Karim Essakalli, the Minister of Solidarity, Social Inclusion and Family, Ms. Naima Ben Yahia, and the Minister Delegate to the Minister of Economy and Finance, in charge of the Budget, Mr. Fouzi Lekjaa.
The second agreement was concluded between the Lalla Asmaa Foundation and the Mohammed VI Foundation for the Promotion of Social Works in Education and Training. It was signed by Mr. Karim Essakalli and the president of the Mohammed VI Foundation for the promotion of social works in education and training, Mr. Youssef El Bakkali.
The last three agreements were concluded between the Lalla Asmaa Foundation and the Territorial Health Groups (GST) of the regions of Tangier-Tétouan-Al Hoceima, Rabat-Salé-Kénitra and Casablanca-Settat.
They were signed, on one side, by MM. Karim Essakalli and Fouzi Lekjaa, and on the other, by the directors general of GST of the regions of Tangier-Tétouan-Al Hoceima, Rabat-Salé-Kénitra and Casablanca-Settat, respectively MM. Mohamed Aggouri, Brahim Lekehal and Hicham Afif.
Since the launch of its “NASMAA” program in 2022, the Lalla Asmaa Foundation has succeeded, under the leadership of HRH Princess Lalla Asmaa, in the cochlear implantation of 950 Moroccan children and 368 children from 22 countries around the world.
