Musician Horens Stalbe is not afraid of work – he has been working as a DJ since the age of 15, has participated in cinema and theater projects, and also worked as a diving instructor. Now he has turned to the profession of a taxi driver, as reported in the material of Krista Klentakas “Working as a taxi driver” in the publication “Kas Jauns”.
“It turns out that it’s a much harder job than it might seem from the outside. It requires a lot of endurance. Fatigue builds up so much that sometimes you can almost fall asleep while standing at a traffic light,” he says. Horen.
Now that he has personally experienced what it’s like to drive a taxi, the musician publicly apologizes to all the taxi drivers he has impatiently piped in the past.
Horen realized that the taxi is a unique place. According to him, people often open up more in this vehicle than elsewhere, so he plans to collect the personal stories collected by the taxi driver in the book “Taxi Driver’s Notes”.
“I collect conversations, life experiences, different destinies and my reflections on it all,” Horen explains. The book project has also attracted wide public attention. People not only know Horen, but also actively participate – they want to take pictures, share their stories and even ask to be included in the upcoming book.
